Will is looking out and wondering if he can find a sofa to relax on. Will is 4 years old and is full of fun. He has a lovely character and really loves the outdoors. He gets on with his male kennel mate with no issues. He is a strong boy especially if he decides to jump up for a cuddle, however he walks relatively well for being such a big bundle of fun.  Whoever gives Will a chance on their sofa won't be disappointed.

Elsa has been with us for a number of months now and nobody has shown an interest in her. She is a sweet girl who has a rather cheeky side to her. With her tongue and ear antics why wouldn’t you want her ? She is an active girl so would suit a similar minded family. Her own garden would be a minimum requirement so she can spend time outdoors. Elsa does get excited around other breeds so she would need someone with previous greyhound experience.

How this big guy hasn’t found a family yet really is beyond us. Seamus is a super friendly playful boy who loves playing with his toys. He would ideally play the day away with his teddies and squeakies. He’s not the biggest fan of small dogs and can get uptight when he sees them. After initially pulling he soon settles and enjoys his walks.

Harry is a 7 year old boy who forgets he is getting on in years. Initially, Harry is rather bouncy when he knows it’s walk time however when he’s out he will settle down quickly. On recent outings he has shown no great reaction to what’s going on around him. If he was joining a friend it would need to be a really laid back girl that could accept his bouncing until he settles down or ideally as an only boy. He is another of our November spotlight dogs as he’s been with us a long time.

Eddie has been with us a long while and would desperately love to find a family of his own.

He is a loveable very happy boy. His ideal scenario would be as an only boy.

In his time with us he has had issues with corns, which are now sorted.

Eddie does have issues with resource guarding around food. People would need to be mindful of this and allow him space to finish his food and any treats etc. that he is given.

Willow is another November spotlight dog as he’s been with us far too long. What can we say about this boy that hasn’t already been said. The answer is nothing really do here’s a recap.

Willow is approaching 7yo and is very friendly towards people and towards other greyhounds.

He has been kennelled in with both males and females without any problem. He generally walks well on the lead when out, he’s very clean in his kennel so house training we believe would be straightforward. His only slight imperfection is that he is reactive to other breeds and in particular off head dogs. Because of this it appears he has been overlooked.

Please don’t let this put you off Willow as he is a boy that really deserves a sofa.

Huey has been with us for over a year and we feel that he is now ready to take that step into homelife. Huey has had a rather topsy Turvy time.

He has never raced after breaking a leg badly. His leg has been pinned and plated and he is fully recovered(you wouldn’t know from looking at him he injured it)

He arrived with us after another large London based homing organisation deemed him unhomeable. He isn’t straight forward and needs an experienced owner.

His needs are as follows

Only dog or a laid back companion

No mixed breeds as he is excitable around them.

His Toileting has been erratic and he needs his own garden.

Anyone who looks over these issues which are all workable will get a very loving and happy boy looking to please.

Keanu is looking for a home to chill out in. Loves the outdoors would walk all day. He has been very friendly since arriving and will make a lovey addition to your home. Excitable around smaller dogs particularly off lead. He is rather a curious boy in fact some would say downright nosey.

Keanu is extremely strong on the lead so would need an experienced owner who can work with him to overcome this.

Bruno is another black beauty looking for his sofa. Bruno has rather simple needs,

An only dog or a laid back greyhound companion, his own back garden to access and not much more than that.

Once he is on his walk he will walk nicely and calm down after initial excitement however off lead dogs do grab his attention.

Joe is a lovely 4 year old boy who loves to give lots of cuddles, be careful though if he catches your eye he will pounce up with his paws on your shoulders.

Dickie is such a happy, friendly boy who enjoys lots of cuddles.  He and his kennel mate, Meg, have been together since they were 6 months old and they, literally, do everything together.  We would love to keep them together so if anyone is looking for two greyhounds, this bonded pair would be perfect.

Meg is a gorgeous dark brindle girl with a sweet, playful nature.  Her and Dickie haven't put a foot wrong in the time we've had them.  They really are the perfect couple.

Our Bill is still hanging around waiting on a family to choose. Bill had been reserved but unfortunately the family pulled out the day before he was due to join them. With humans Bill has a friendly loving nature and likes human company. Outside he will walk on past other dogs with little attention to them however in an enclosed space he isn’t quite as tolerable so he would either have to be an only male or he could go with a female for company. Please don't let this put you off because he really is a gentle boy.

Biggie has been with us for quite a while and hasn’t had a single enquiry. Please don’t be put off by the fact he’s a big black boy, he has a lot to offer and you wouldn’t know he’s in the kennel he’s so laid back. Out on walks he pulls a bit with excitement but will settle. He gets on with all greyhounds (male or female) and is used to having children around him. He really is a big softie and deserves his opportunity to find a sofa.

Simon is a really good natured friendly boy who is looking for his sofa.

He gets on well with his male kennel mate, he also loves his walks and playtime in the paddock. Simon is strong once initially out however he soon calms down (unless he sees a rabbit). He has met mid/larger dogs and there has been not much interest shown. An ideal boy to join an existing pack or enjoying his own company as an only dog. Simon has been spotless in his kennel so we would consider him as a candidate for a family that lives in a flat. If Simon sounds ideal for you then please get in touch

Tilt is another one of our gorgeous black boys who is looking for his sofa.  He is 6 years old and really deserves a loving family to call his own.  Tilt is very friendly, cuddly and eager to please.

Blake has been with us for a few months now and would really like to try and find a family to call his own. Blake is a boy that can be nervy and as such doesn’t push himself into the limelight. His ideal home would be as an only dog to allow him time to settle into a new environment.

Not yet 3 years old, Wonder is doing exactly that, wondering if anyone will offer him a home. He’s been with us now for 4 months and there’s not been an enquiry about him.

His ideal home would consist of a garden to allow him to have freedom to ponder about at his own will. He loves the outdoors and an active family would also be ideal for him. Currently kennelled with another male and there’s been very few dramas.

Nero is a rather handsome if not slightly cheeky boy looking for his sofa. Since his arrival he has been paw perfect in everything he has done. Nero is a dog that would adapt to most circumstances, initially, on a walk he is excitable but soon calms himself down. Currently kennelled with a male mate we believe he would seamlessly fit into an existing pack. Nero has been well handled and is used to both adult and child company.

Caramel was a superstar on his short term foster adventure and he would really love to find a permanent home to call his own.

Well what have we learned about him ?

He’s been fine in a home with another male greyhound.

He’s been fine in a home with a child.

He has walked past most breeds of dogs with little to no reaction.

After initial excitement he walks beautifully on the lead.

He is very clean in the house he only had 1 small accident after ironically locking himself in the bathroom.

He has mastered stairs.

There’s not a lot more we can say about him apart from come get yourself done Caramel as a companion.

Mac has been let down on 2 occasions now and really hopes it will be 3rd time lucky. He was previously reserved twice only to have the families pull out.

He is a lovely boy who enjoys his walks. Off lead dogs can get his attention as do small furries. Let’s see if we can get Mac his moving out date for good.

 

Mac has settled in really well with us and hoping his stay will be short. What do we know about him ?

Mac suffered a broken leg that ended his racing career. He was operated on by orthopaedic specialist and nursed back to health prior to arriving with us. He does have a little skip to himself however this isn’t caused by or is connected to his leg as he walked like this even prior to his injury. Initially Mac was a little picky about his food however he now eats exceptionally well and clears his dish everyday. Mac has been kennelled on his own but hasn’t shown any aggression or worrying tendencies towards other greyhounds whilst out on walks or walking past his kennel. Let’s see if we can get Mac onto a sofa.

Well Storm is a character and a half. You will never have a dull minute with him around. He’s a very loveable boy who gets on tremendously well with his female kennel mate. Storm is rather bouncy and gets really excited around other breeds however don’t let this put you off

Gordon is a lovely natured lad looking for his sofa. He’s bubbly, playful, friendly and full of beans.

"Blondie has been in foster with us for about a month now and we’re really hoping this gorgeous girl can find her forever home.

She happily lays down on her bed while you are busy in the house and will definitely want to cuddle on the sofa and your bed if you’ll let her. We’ve had her sleeping in a crate at night and she sleeps through with little separation anxiety but will gladly tell you in the morning when she wants to get up. She has been left for a few hours with our hound Teddy with little fuss also.

She has picked up Teddy’s commands very quickly including “leave it” “out” “come” “wait” and “off” when she tries to steal treats from the top shelf.

On walks she doesn’t pull on the lead and is very good about going to the toilet when she gets out. Small and off lead dogs do excite her but redirection has been effective.

This lovely natured girl could easily be an only dog or join an existing pack"

Tommy is a stunning big boy, he is very friendly and loves his cuddles.  He doesn't realise he is a 35kg boy.  Has shown any reactions to other breeds on walks, although rabbits do catch his interest.

Teddy is on the look for his forever home, a gentle hound, walks lovely and not reactive to any other breeds. Loving the sofa and house trained (in a foster home with a male and female greyhound)

Ziggy is the sweetest, most gentle and cuddliest boy.  He walks really well on the lead, doesn't react to other breeds and is currently in a foster home with another male greyhound and he is doing brilliantly.  This boy could fit into any kind of family so form an orderly queue.

Stormy is back on the lookout for his forever home after his previous owner became seriously unwell. He is a lovely, friendly boy, gets on with male and female greyhounds.  Smaller dogs do get his interest but more so if they are off lead but this is easily corrected with positive reinforcement.
