Will is looking out and wondering if he can find a sofa to relax on. Will is 4 years old and is full of fun. He has a lovely character and really loves the outdoors. He gets on with his male kennel mate with no issues. He is a strong boy especially if he decides to jump up for a cuddle, however he walks relatively well for being such a big bundle of fun.  Whoever gives Will a chance on their sofa won't be disappointed.

Elsa has been with us for a number of months now and nobody has shown an interest in her. She is a sweet girl who has a rather cheeky side to her. With her tongue and ear antics why wouldn’t you want her ? She is an active girl so would suit a similar minded family. Her own garden would be a minimum requirement so she can spend time outdoors. Elsa does get excited around other breeds so she would need someone with previous greyhound experience.

Harry is a 7 year old boy who forgets he is getting on in years. Initially, Harry is rather bouncy when he knows it’s walk time however when he’s out he will settle down quickly. On recent outings he has shown no great reaction to what’s going on around him. If he was joining a friend it would need to be a really laid back girl that could accept his bouncing until he settles down or ideally as an only boy. He is another of our November spotlight dogs as he’s been with us a long time.

Eddie has been with us a long while and would desperately love to find a family of his own.
He is a loveable very happy boy. His ideal scenario would be as an only boy.
In his time with us he has had issues with corns, which are now sorted.
Eddie does have issues with resource guarding around food. People would need to be mindful of this and allow him space to finish his food and any treats etc. that he is given.

Willow is another November spotlight dog as he’s been with us far too long. What can we say about this boy that hasn’t already been said. The answer is nothing really do here’s a recap.
Willow is approaching 7yo and is very friendly towards people and towards other greyhounds.
He has been kennelled in with both males and females without any problem. He generally walks well on the lead when out, he’s very clean in his kennel so house training we believe would be straightforward. His only slight imperfection is that he is reactive to other breeds and in particular off head dogs. Because of this it appears he has been overlooked.
Please don’t let this put you off Willow as he is a boy that really deserves a sofa.

Huey has been with us for over a year and we feel that he is now ready to take that step into homelife. Huey has had a rather topsy Turvy time.
He has never raced after breaking a leg badly. His leg has been pinned and plated and he is fully recovered(you wouldn’t know from looking at him he injured it)
He arrived with us after another large London based homing organisation deemed him unhomeable. He isn’t straight forward and needs an experienced owner.
His needs are as follows
Only dog or a laid back companion
No mixed breeds as he is excitable around them.
His Toileting has been erratic and he needs his own garden.
Anyone who looks over these issues which are all workable will get a very loving and happy boy looking to please.

Keanu is looking for a home to chill out in. Loves the outdoors would walk all day. He has been very friendly since arriving and will make a lovey addition to your home. Excitable around smaller dogs particularly off lead. He is rather a curious boy in fact some would say downright nosey.
Keanu is extremely strong on the lead so would need an experienced owner who can work with him to overcome this.

Bruno is another black beauty looking for his sofa. Bruno has rather simple needs,
An only dog or a laid back greyhound companion, his own back garden to access and not much more than that.
Once he is on his walk he will walk nicely and calm down after initial excitement however off lead dogs do grab his attention.

Joe is a lovely 4 year old boy who loves to give lots of cuddles, be careful though if he catches your eye he will pounce up with his paws on your shoulders.

Dickie is such a happy, friendly boy who enjoys lots of cuddles.  He and his kennel mate, Meg, have been together since they were 6 months old and they, literally, do everything together.  We would love to keep them together so if anyone is looking for two greyhounds, this bonded pair would be perfect.

Meg is a gorgeous dark brindle girl with a sweet, playful nature.  Her and Dickie haven't put a foot wrong in the time we've had them.  They really are the perfect couple.

Here is a glowing update on Bill who is currently in foster and awaiting the next step to his forever home.
Bill’s foster story.
Bill is a beautiful boy with a gentle, clever nature who has lots of love to give.
Out and about he walks well on lead.
He enjoys sniffs in the park and gets very excited, and distracted, when a squirrel is spotted. A wagging tail is there for other sighthounds and people who make a fuss of him. He’s shown no aggression to other dogs although small dogs interest him. Traffic doesn’t faze him.
At home, he loves cuddling up on the sofa with his humans and getting chin rubbed.
He enjoys his food and won’t pass up a treat! Often curious at what the humans are eating, he settles quickly with a prompt.
He sleeps over night but likes to be able to see where his humans are.
He is patient being brushed and groomed.
Bill prefers company although he is getting better at being on his own and usually settles for a couple hours at a time. There’s always a very excited hound when you get home.
He’s proven to be friendly indoors with other sighthounds and hasn’t reacted to the children he’s met.
Bill’s forever home will be gaining a wonderful friend who we’re sure will continue to develop into a magnificent, loyal & giving companion.

Biggie has been with us for quite a while and hasn’t had a single enquiry. Please don’t be put off by the fact he’s a big black boy, he has a lot to offer and you wouldn’t know he’s in the kennel he’s so laid back. Out on walks he pulls a bit with excitement but will settle. He gets on with all greyhounds (male or female) and is used to having children around him. He really is a , big softie, loves cuddles and deserves his opportunity to find a sofa.

Billy will be 4 years old in July and is hoping he can celebrate it by being in a home.
Billy would ideally like to live on his own or with a laid back female. Currently kennelled with a male they tolerate each other however Billy can get possessive over his bed and lets his companion know he isn’t happy. After his initial bouncy pully spell he calms down and walks really well.  He loves a good tummy rub too.

Next up looking for a family is Simon. Now Simon falls into the category of a black boy however we are asking people to look beyond the colour and think about his overall attributes.
Friendly boy who gets on with every greyhound he’s been kennelled with after initial introductions.
He loves a playtime in the paddock Simon is very used to children so will make a proper family dog.

Tilt is another one of our gorgeous black boys who is looking for his sofa.  He is 6 years old and really deserves a loving family to call his own.  Tilt is very friendly, cuddly and eager to please.

Blake is still with us looking for a family. Please read and if you think you can offer him a sofa then get in touch.
Blake is a 5.5yo Blue boy who would prefer to be an only dog. He gets excited with smaller dogs.
In a kennel environment Blake can get a bit uptight and because of this he really doesn’t show his full potential. Blake loves his walks and playtime so perhaps a slightly more active family would be ideal for him.

Wonder is still hanging around looking for his home and we really wonder why.
He gets on fine with other greyhounds and most other breeds of dogs, small white dogs can get his attention. Wonder truly is a people dog and just loves being made a fuss over.,
He walks really well on the lead when out and about and he dies like the outdoors.

Nero is a rather handsome if not slightly cheeky boy looking for his sofa. Since his arrival he has been paw perfect in everything he has done. Nero is a dog that would adapt to most circumstances, initially, on a walk he is excitable but soon calms himself down. Currently kennelled with a male mate we believe he would seamlessly fit into an existing pack. Nero has been well handled and is used to both adult and child company.

Here is an update from Mac’s foster family.
What’s not to like so come on you know you want to offer him a home.
 

• Housetrained.

• Content to be crated at night and sleep alone downstairs- will sometimes go into crate himself during the day.

• Can be left alone in house uncrated ( approx 2.5 hrs max so far by us), but would prob be okay for longer.

• No problem travelling in car and being left alone in there whilst running errands.

• Was fine with workmen being in the house.

• Doesn’t beg for food and will leave you alone whilst you’re eating.

• Happy to be washed, brushed and have his ears cleaned.

• Will come over for hugs and to be stroked.

• Usually quiet in the house, tending to sleep or play with squeaky toy.

• Eats well, but seems to prefer eating food at floor height rather than in raised feeder. Water ok in raised feeder.

Well Storm is a character and a half. You will never have a dull minute with him around. his energetic boy has a real happy go lucky nature loves attention and is just a big puppy at heart. He gets on mostly with his female kennel mate however there can be a disagreement or 2 at feeding time as he doesn’t like to share with her. He gets excited around other breeds, particularly off lead dogs. Storm really would love to find his forever sofa.

Gordon is a lovely natured lad looking for his sofa. He’s bubbly, playful, friendly, full of beans and just happens to be drop dead gorgeous.

Tommy is a stunning big boy, he is very friendly and loves his cuddles.  He doesn't realise he is a 35kg boy.  Hasn't shown any reactions to other breeds on walks, although rabbits do catch his interest.

Stormy is back on the lookout for his forever home after his previous owner became seriously unwell. He is a lovely, friendly boy, gets on with male and female greyhounds.  Smaller dogs do get his interest but more so if they are off lead but this is easily corrected with positive reinforcement.

Joey has settled back into kennel life with little problem, however, we would like his stay to be short. Enjoys his time with other greyhounds. He does get excited when he sees other breeds however it appears to be in a friendly playful manner. Joey loves cuddles and playtime, he can also give a paw.

Cassie is a small girl who is quite nervous of new surroundings and people she doesn't know but don't let that put you off because there is a little diva hiding in there.  Once she gets used to people she is friendly and playful.  She does get quite territorial with her male kennel mate and tells him off so we think she would be best as an only dog.

Apollo is ready to take the next step and find himself a sofa.
Initially, he’s quite shy, however, after a day or 2 he comes out his shell and he’s a very friendly boy. At one of our walks he wasn’t overly bothered with other breeds, he kennels well with his male companion and overall he’s just a big teddy bear.
Apollo gets quite stressed in the kennel so we would love him to get his forever home as soon as possible.

Corey is a handsome confident boy who would be best suited as either an only dog or with a laid back female greyhound.

Fred joined us to look for his sofa a few weeks ago. In the kennel he’s a really laid back boy who doesn’t push for attention and is happy to take a back seat. You really wouldn’t know he’s around. Kennelled with a male companion with no issues. Fred suffered a broken leg however this is fully healed and causes him no issues and there was no metalwork needed. He is a real gentleman of a dog and deserves the sofa he has requested.  Fred doesn't react to any other breeds and was happily walking along with 3 chihuahuas in a stroller.

Franco is a really lovely natured boy and deserves a sofa to put his paws on. He is very affectionate and is now ready to move on. He likes the outdoors and walk times. He also enjoys his playtime in the paddocks. He gets on with other greyhounds. Small furries and squirrels are not his friends and so far this has been the only time we have seen him get over enthusiastic

Jackie has a little bit of cheek but a lot of personality. This girl is approaching 6 years old and is so straightforward. Very friendly and loves a bit of attention. Very clean in her kennel this girl will make a family really happy.

Ted is a smaller sized male with a big character. Out on walks he can be quite pully and excited around small dogs. Nature wise he’s friendly and is quite food orientated. If he was to join an existing pack it would ideally with female company.

Josie is a larger silhouette of a girl but that means all the more to love. She would easily slip into an existing pack, in the kennel you wouldn’t know she’s around. She is also very clean so we believe house training would be straightforward.

Lochie has heard that he’s on the look out force sofa and he’s just telling you what his basic needs are.
He’s great with other greyhounds, he’s been fine around children.
He doesn’t like small furries or small dogs.
He pulls when he’s out on a group walk to get the front, on a smaller quantity walk he doesn’t pull quite as much.
He is so friendly and hopefully someone can offer him a sofa to lay his head on.

Alby is another beautiful natured boy looking for his family to join. Another boy that would be an ideal introduction to the breed for a family as he’s very straightforward. He’s good around kids loves his walks or is just as happy to laze around doing retired greyhound things (sleeping)

Isn’t Rocky just a handsome distinguished looking boy. Rocky is 6.5yo and a complete gentleman of a dog. Beautiful nature, fine around other breeds and loves to walk by your side. Rocky would be a really simple straightforward first boy for anyone looking to be introduced to the breed or he would also be an ideal dog for an older family setting as he walks so well.
