Apollo is now approaching 6 years old and has been with us for 16 months awaiting the call to offer him a sofa.
Apollo gets himself rather uptight in the kennel. The busy kennel environment means he’s constantly on the go getting up and down or jumping around. Take him out if this environment and he is perfect. Loves his outdoor time, walks really well and reacts to next to nothing. Apollo is a long lean boy however we do firmly believe he will add a kilo or 2 in a home environment where he will be less stressed and using up less nervous energy.
In an attempt to find Apollo his forever home his adoption fee is reduced to £100 however a new family still receives the full starter pack given away with every adopted greyhound.

Azza arrived recently and has been paw perfect since joining us. She’s a really happy go lucky girl who walks really well on the lead. She has met other breeds and she’s been inquisitive but no more than that. Azza has been very clean and, at 7 years old, hopes to find that sofa soon.

Billy is another long term boy we have on the lookout for a family to join. He has stunning eyes and a stunning nature to boot.,
He is playful and happy. Ideally he would like to be an only boy or to live with a laid back greyhound. He doesn’t like other greyhounds to be in his face and can get a bit grumpy if this happens.

Blake is a 6 year old Blue boy who would prefer to be an only dog. He gets excited with smaller dogs.
In a kennel environment Blake can get a bit uptight and because of this he really doesn’t show his full potential. Blake loves his walks and playtime so perhaps a slightly more active family would be ideal for him.

Lovely Blue boy Boris is approaching 5yo and is hoping to find a home before he hits that milestone. He’s a lovely natured boy who is ever so friendly and affectionate. Currently kenneled with a male companion without any issues. Once out on his walks he walks really well and is happy to go for longer walks. It must have been a bit of forward thinking as just at the time he was born the country went into a lockdown and almost all you were allowed to do outside was walk a dog 😂😂.

Bruno is another long term boy looking forward to the day he’s offered a family of his own.
Bruno comes across as a big brave boy however there is a little nervous side to him that needs reassurance.
Bruno has his interest grabbed by smaller dogs, however he is now better than what he initially was.

Cassie will be a very sweet girl in the correct environment. If you think that you can understand the following needs then Cassie will be just the girl for you.
Cassie is an anxious soul and needs time to absorb change. She certainly doesn’t push herself forward for the limelight so can easily get overlooked.
Cassie would prefer to be an only dog and with a family who have time to spend settling her in.
She can get herself so uptight going to walks that on occasions has made herself sick with nerves.
She sticks to what she knows. Once she is used to her new environment she is very loving.

Coco is the current kennel entertainer as there’s never a dull moment with this boy around. Even out in the paddocks he decides that a water dish is fair game to have fun with. He would throw it about all day given half a chance. This boy needs an experienced owner who can continue with his training. If you’re looking for a playful chap then look no further.

Corey is a boy that we have looking for a family to adopt him. Corey is a boy that doesn’t really do himself justice and needs a little help.
He is a people dog, he just loves people. He’s not so keen on other dogs in his personal space (sharing beds etc). He has been really well behaved on recent walks, he even walked alongside a buggy. He loves to walk by your side. On occasions he can become a little anxious if he’s out of his comfort zone but once he knows that the world isn’t such a big bad place he’s fine.

Daisy is another girl who is looking for a sofa to call her own.
Daisy never raced however her prey drive is strong. Daisy spent a few months in a home environment however due to cattle moving in to a close by field it meant that her prey instinct kicked in and she was too focused to the extent she caused herself a little damage by running into a hedge in her garden and needed stitches to repair the wound so it was decided in the interest of her safety she came back into our care to look for another home.
We have reduced Daisy’s homing fee to £100 in the hope it helps any potential family decide that this sweet little girl can join them.

 Dixie had waited around 14 months in his trainers kennel awaiting a homing centre space. We were asked to take him and wow what a lovely boy he is. Since arriving he has been very gentle, great to walk, very clean and just a delight to be here. Now it’s up to us to find him that home he really deserves. Let’s hope it won’t take another 14 months before someone offers Dixie his sofa. Dixie is of course another black beauty.

Flash is a beautiful natured girl who is on the smaller side of the female scale. Flash could flourish in a home with an existing sighthound or also as an only dog. She is rarely a problem in the kennel and you wouldn’t know she is around.
Whilst out on walks she can show a little interest in smaller dogs however this was minimal at a recent socialisation walk around the park.

Franco is a really lovely natured boy and deserves a sofa to put his paws on. He is very affectionate and is now ready to move on. He likes the outdoors and walk times. He also enjoys his playtime in the paddocks. He gets on with other greyhounds. Small furries and squirrels are not his friends and so far this has been the only time we have seen him get over enthusiastic

Frankie is a beautiful black boy who would benefit from being the only dog in a house.  He is very people orientated and he would love to find his own people.
He gets excited at off lead dogs and small fluffies grab his attention.

In the kennel 6 year old Fred is a really laid back boy who doesn’t push for attention and is happy to take a back seat. You really wouldn’t know he’s around. Fred suffered a broken leg however this is fully healed and causes him no issues and there was no metalwork needed. He is a real gentleman of a dog and deserves the sofa he has requested. Fred doesn't like other dogs bouncing around in his face,
We have reduced Fred’s adoption fee to £100 to try and help him find his, overdue, forever home.

Gail is another of our greyhounds looking for a sofa. Approaching 6yo Gail has been with us a while now. Gail can join an existing pack or as an only girl. Gail has had a litter of pups prior to coming to us and she dies gave a really sweet nature. Gail is very clean in her kennel environment however her only negative is her dislike for small breed dogs. She is better now than what she was when first arrived however she still isn’t best friends with them.
To help try and find Gail her forever home we have reduced her adoption fee to £100.

Harry is now a senior boy who forgets he is getting on in years. Initially, Harry is rather bouncy when he knows it’s walk time however when he’s out he will settle down quickly. On recent outings he has shown no great reaction to what’s going on around him. If he was joining a friend it would need to be a really laid back girl that could accept his bouncing until he settles down or ideally as an only boy.

Huey has been with us for over 2 years and he would really like to find his forever sofa.
Huey has had a rather topsy Turvy time.
He has never raced after breaking a leg badly. His leg has been pinned and plated and he has fully recovered (you wouldn’t know from looking at him he injured it)
He arrived with us after another large London based homing organisation deemed him unhomeable. He isn’t straight forward and needs an experienced owner.
His needs are as follows
Only dog or a laid back companion
No mixed breeds as he is excitable around them.
His Toileting has been erratic and he needs his own garden.
Anyone who looks over these issues which are all workable will get a very loving and happy boy looking to please.

Joe is now a 6 year old boy who loves to give lots of cuddles, be careful though if he catches your eye he will pounce up with his paws on your shoulders.  He can be a bit pully on walks but its just through excitement.

We really can't understand why this boy hasn't been snapped up yet.  He is only 3 years old, gorgeous, friendly - what's not too like?
​Joey enjoys his play time with other greyhounds. He does get excited when he sees other breeds however it appears to be in a friendly playful manner. Joey loves cuddles and playtime, he can also give a paw.

Here is a very special homing appeal for a very special boy. When you read Johnny’s story below and feel you can offer him his 5 home then please get in touch as you won’t be disappointed.
Be prepared for a lengthy post.
Johnny has had a very tough year and is only now ready to find his family. Johnny arrived with us as normal 12 months ago and he was booked into our vet to have his neutering operation the following week. So far so good Johnny went for his op and was recovering fine the following day. 2 days after his operation Johnny showed signs of swelling around his operation wound and also down his front leg (which we found rather unusual) so back to the vet for a check up he went where he was given antibiotics. All fine or so we thought. The next day his leg was swollen like a pigs trotter and was starting to weep due to the amount of swelling. Straight back to the vet for another thorough examination where nothing untoward could be found. Continue with rest, cold compressing and his medication.
Day 4 post operation and Johnny's leg had burst open and to say this was horrific is putting it mildly. Specialists were contacted as the first thought was a flesh eating bug, to this day we still have the photos and we would never wish to see a dog with a wound like this ever again.
Johnny was in such a bad way he was literally 30 minutes from being put to sleep until we received a call from the specialist. They had only ever seen this once before and it was caused by a dogs immune system being so low that they couldn’t recover from the operation.
A quick phone call to his ex trainer revealed that whilst he wasn’t affected there was a serious bout of kennel cough in his kennel a few weeks prior to arriving with us. Bingo we had the answer of what was causing this and the only healer would be time.
Johnny was back and forth to the vet for weeks however there was improvement every visit until the vets were happy to allow us to continue treating Johnny as an open wound case.
Well believe it or not it’s a year down the line and Johnny is only recently fully recovered, the wound has healed and he wants his home that he so deserves to have.

Jordan has just turned 3 years old and he’s a really affectionate boy. Jordan is quite a slight boy who weighs less than 30 kilos. He walks really well when out on a walk. So far he has been friendly with both male and female greyhounds. He wasn't fazed with other breeds. This blue boy will hopefully find a family soon.

Joseph has no intention of heading to Bethlehem; he doesn’t accept that there’s no room at the inn. He hopes there’s plenty of room on your sofa. Now Joseph would prefer his own garden as his constitution needs a little help to be regular. He’s a small boy weighing around 28.5 kilos. The worry of the census journey has added a little greying to his muzzle. Joseph is the brother of Rudolph and also Prancer who was previously homed and adapted to home life.

Keanu is looking for a home to chill out in. Loves the outdoors would walk all day. He is very friendly and will make a lovey addition to your home. Excitable around smaller dogs particularly off lead. He is rather a curious boy in fact some would say downright nosey.
Keanu is extremely strong on the lead so would need an experienced owner who can work with him to overcome this.

If anyone is looking for a boy that doesn’t take himself too serious, likes the outdoors and cuddles then look no further than Le Fou. There will never be a dull moment with this bouncy, playful bundle of joy.
Le Fou would suit being an only boy or in bc a home with a laid back female.
Le Fou is used to kids however with his happy go lucky, sometimes oblivious nature small kids in a home would not be advisable

Lochie has recently had a bit of dental work done from which he has fully recovered and is desperate to find a family of his own. When he arrived he was very pully at the park walks and took a lot out of himself. He has now calmed down and learned to walk better and is feeling the benefit of it. He can be a little reactive with other breeds.  He is now 6 years odl gets on with other greyhounds so a pack member or only boy he would fit in. He is also very clean in his kennel and thus indicates that house training would be straightforward enough.

Micky is quite a cheeky chappie who just loves cuddles.  He prefers life as an only dog or with a female greyhound, he is great with kids and walks well on the lead.

Patsy is a sweet girl who has only just turned 3. As she has only just arrived we are still learning about her but so far 1 thing is clear, she is most certainly an attention seeker. Loves claps and cuddles and will go out her way to be noticed to get them. As yet untested with other breeds

Richie is just the sweetest friendliest boy. Very playful nature and will play all day.,Now in the fun of play Richie can get over excited and forgets his manners and has been known to give you a friendly nibble at playtime. For this reason we would not consider a home with young children as a suitable environment.

Rosie is a girl who has reactivity issues, however, around humans she has the sweetest loving friendly nature.

Rosie arrived with us last year taken from a home environment and was being taken to the vet to be euthanised. She wasn’t the best condition and very underweight. Rosie is reactive to other dogs particularly around food. Outside at public walks she walks perfectly with no issues.

Simon is just such a sweet gentle boy who has unbelievably been with us for 2 years. We can only assume that the fact he is black has had something to do with this as we really can’t think of any other reason.
Simon gets on with other greyhounds once introduced so can easily fit into with a pack. Simon is great with children and is well used to being handled by them.
Simon does get distracted by smaller dogs however can happily walk on with being rewarded or distracted.
We have reduced Simon’s adoption fee to £100 to try and get this really sweet boy the home that he deserves and has been long overdue.

Spanky has heard that nobody has enquired about her yet and is quite surprised by this development.
Spanky is a really happy waggy tailed girl who could happily fit into a pack or equally be as happy as an only dog. Spanky shows little interest around other dogs and once she gets started walking she walks really well. Spanky is also extremely clean in her kennel environment so all in all a perfect girl.
The adoption fee for Spanky is currently £200 (reduced from £250) due to our desire to encourage more black dogs onto sofas.

Storm joined us in November 2023 to look for his sofa; in that time, he has not had a single enquiry.
Now, Storm is not the most straightforward boy as he is reactive to other dogs; however, this has improved, and we feel it will continue to improve if he’s in a home environment and meets them on walks regularly.
Storm isn’t particularly a large boy, and we have successfully homed other dogs with the same issues as Storm, so we are at the stage where we can’t understand why he’s continually overlooked. Is it because he's a black boy? This could have a bearing on it as some of the others we have homed were coloured dogs.
In the correct home, with time, patience, and a will to succeed, Storm will make a fantastic pet; all he needs is a chance.

Stormy is a stunning looking fawn boy awaiting the chance to jump on someone’s sofa.
Stormy even though he’s not the biggest framed boy is quite strong when out and about. He’s very loving and could either join an existing pack or happily as an only dog.

Ted (or Wee Ted as he’s known) has improved drastically around smaller dogs, which was always his red flag. Whilst he shows a little interest there is no manic lunging or barking like there used to be. A little pully on group walks to get to the front however Ted is overall a nice walker.
Ted has been very clean in his time with us and he’s not the biggest in size.

Here we have an absolutely fabulous girl that will demand her own following. Having just turned 4 years old, Tik Tok decided that the time to hang up the racing muzzle had come and now fancies a sofa. Tik Tok is so sweet, would happily fit into a home environment with other greyhounds or as an only girl. As yet Tik Tok hasn’t been tested with other breeds as yet with us but this will happen soon.
